Jagged2 is a canonical mammalian Notch ligand belonging to the Serrate/Jagged family, characterized by an N-terminal C2 lipid-binding domain, a receptor-binding DSL domain, and multiple EGF repeats that mediate interactions with Notch receptors. Structurally, Jagged2 shares homology with Jagged1 but differs in its signaling strength and sensitivity to glycosylation modifications such as Fringe-mediated GlcNAc addition.
