ELISA Stop Solution is a ready-to-use acidic solution for terminating the TMB substrate-peroxidase reaction in endpoint colorimetric ELISA assays. After stopping the reaction, the TMB chromogen changes from blue to yellow, enabling absorbance measurement at 450 nm.

Use in ELISA workflows
Equilibrate the ELISA Stop Solution to room temperature before use. After the TMB substrate reaction has developed to the desired intensity, add 50–100 µl stop solution to each plate well. Read absorbance at 450 nm within 10 minutes. For best results, monitor sample absorbance and stop the reaction before values exceed 2.0 absorbance units.
